Emergency Lighting Installation & Escape Route Planning

In the event of an emergency, such as a fire or power outage, it is crucial for all occupants of the building to quickly locate the nearest exit. If you currently do not have emergency lighting installed, we can help identify escape routes and install lights to guide your employees and customers to the nearest exits. Additionally, we will work with you to identify areas with insufficient lighting and install adequate emergency lighting in those locations.

Emergency lighting is part of the Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) and is legally required for illuminated exit routes in case of power failure. BS5266 part 1 mandates that emergency lighting must function for at least 3 hours after mains power loss. The Responsible Person in your company is accountable for occupant safety. Goodwill Electrical uses your FRA results to design compliant emergency lighting systems, which are also important for day-to-day operations, especially if your building operates outside regular hours.
